About the Event

Silent films are officially back at The Pound! In partnership with South West Silents, Pound Arts proudly presents a season of comedy classics, including some of the biggest names of the genre .

A lesser known but equally influential comedy gem from renowned Tokyo-born director Yasujirô Ozu, in which two young brothers throw a tantrum when they discover that their father isn’t the most important man in his workplace.

This screening will be accompanied by a live musical score, performed by BFI Southbank’s resident pianist Meg Morley. Since performing for her first silent film in 2016, Meg Morley has quickly become one of the UK’s pre-eminent silent film accompanists, performing at various international film festivals and playing regularly at the London Cinema Museum.
